Schools Closed For Year, Remote Learning Continues

A message from Eanes ISD Superintendent of Schools
Schools Closed For Year, Remote Learning Continues

With Governor Abbott’s declaration to close schools for the remainder of the year, Eanes ISD will follow the guidelines set forth by the Texas Education Agency and will not reopen schools but will continue remote operations for the rest of the spring semester. The last day of remote learning is May 28, 2020.

Our students and staff will continue online instruction to finish out the school year remotely. We understand the disappointment of this news and the desire for personal interaction between students and teachers. This is why the work our educators have done to sustain an engaging learning environment despite these challenges is so remarkable.

While it may look different, we are continuing our mission. Students will matriculate to the next grade level and we will finalize a plan on the options presented last week for our seniors' graduation. These are unprecedented times but we are resilient and committed to making the best of the circumstances we face.

Thank you,

Tom Leonard
