Ms. Cheryl Kraemer, Speech Pathologist
Ms. Kraemer is a wonderful asset to the Valley View campus. She is kind, caring, professional, and knowledgeable in her work as a Speech Language Pathologist. She genuinely cares for the students and families she works with, and she collaborates well with school staff to ensure that students’ needs are being met. Ms. Kraemer is organized, dedicated, hard-working, and frequently goes above and beyond in her willingness to improve student outcomes.
Ms. Isabel Muniz, Teaching Assistant
Ms. Muniz is dedicated, organized and prepared each day to make a difference with children. She collects data which helps to inform instruction then breaks down information to make it understandable for all students. She provides positive reinforcement and celebrates all victories with her students. She is truly "all-in" every day and a team player who serves the needs of teachers and students. Due to her expertise, Ms. Muniz is the first one educators called upon when advice or assistance with a student is needed. She educates with a keen mind, a devoted heart and evokes the best in her students.

Mr. John Stocks, Custodian
Mr. Stocks is a model of kindness in and around our community. To know him is to adore him. He is thoughtful and kind toward all our students and is a positive influence. He is a great role model and often assists the staff with children who show an interest in mechanical work. He is always the first one at Valley View each day and often the last to leave. He bleeds Cardinal red. Mr. Stocks recently bought a gift for one of our students that were on a positive reinforcement plan but waited to give it to him when the student achieved his daily goal. Valley View would not be the same without Mr. Stocks and we are so absolutely lucky to have him!

First Grade Team: Pam Alden, Lauren Cobb, Amy Lugo, Quen White-Ramos, Kimmy Zaroba
The first-grade team selflessly gave up time over their summer break to organize, label, clean, and gather materials for Valley View’s Literacy Library. Our entire school uses this space for small group reading materials. The first-grade team created a check out system for teachers, made labels for every book, created shelving spaces, and organized over 1,000 books for this space. Their initiative shows a true embodiment of the district’s best instructional practices and learning environment. We thank these teachers for their selflessness and for their great work!
Ms. Mitzi Bogan, Music Teacher
Ms. Bogan has spent her life in education and with Eanes ISD. She’s retired from teaching but has come back for years as an RTI teacher. Recently, she graciously took over the music program with grace and enthusiasm. Without hesitation, Ms. Bogan jumped into the spot to do what was right for our students. She embodies team spirit, hard work, and the loving nature we all want in our teachers. She is a superhero!
Ms. Sandi Schindel, Volunteer
Sandy has been serving as a volunteer screener since her (now adult) children were students in Eanes ISD elementary schools. She faithfully attends the re-certification classes with the Texas Department of Health Services. She is willing to volunteer at any campus in the District, not just those attended by her family. She is a rare jewel who gives so much to so many and we truly appreciate her!
Ms. Eden Steigerwalt, Special Education Teacher
Ms. Steigerwalt is not only committed to her students' academic and educational success, but she cares deeply and sincerely about the social and emotional health of every single student in her care. The love she has for her students is undeniable. When she learned that a few students were highly interested in Yu-Gi-Oh! she purchased hundreds of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards with her own personal money for these students to earn for positive behavior. When a student wanted to research a certain person but couldn't find a book about him in the library, she purchased the book for him and ensured its arrival the very next day. Ms. Steigerwalt leaves personal hand-written notes on students' desks throughout the day to remind them that she sees and notices and cares for them.
And if you ask Ms. Steigerwalt about her third-grade students, you'll probably notice her eyes well up with tears because the care and pride she has for them simply cannot be contained.
Innovation Award

Ms. Jodi Bade, Parent Volunteer
Ms. Bade has donated her creative talents to the Valley View family in a number of high profile and wonderful projects that have amazed and entertained students and their families while providing invaluable assistance to teachers in making their programs the best possible. Students can't wait to go to the book fair to see what magical conversion the school cafeteria has undergone. Over the years she’s created a larger than life monster, a pony corral and a pirate ship outfitted with comfy reading nooks for the kids to enjoy.
This year, there was an enchanted forest with a crawl-through tree sprouted up right in the middle of the cafeteria. Ms. Bade has also led a team of parents in creating and performing puppet shows, twice a year, for every grade in the school. Her work has also enhanced choir and music performance stages over the past years, with sets that dazzled the performers and their audience. In addition to using her skills around the campus, Ms. Bade has enriched instruction by giving presentations sharing her technical skills in art and animation with students in the classroom and on career day.

We have had the pleasure to sponsor several UT mechanical engineering graduate students this year. These students worked diligently to develop an accessible, inexpensive, easy-to-use, and reliable assistive art tool for students. The device they developed has enabled students to participate in art activities more actively and has added to our current practices around inclusive culture. We are so thankful for their innovation and creativity to help our students!
