Thank you so much for making the time to attend Open House last week. We were anxious to see how pairing Open House with an evening Sock Hop would be received. The energy was very positive and attendance was extremely high.

I have been informally surveying students to see how they felt about the changes made in the day/evening events and I welcome your feedback, too. If you would like to contribute your thoughts prior to our planning the Sock Hop and Open House for next school year, please feel free to email me at jdusek@eanesisd.net.

Specifics about Valentine's Day are being sent to parents today. Be sure to check your email and your child's Thursday folder for more information. In addition, BINGO night is scheduled for Friday, February 22. We are busy at VVE and the year is flying by! Thank you for joining us on this journey.

BINGO Night at Valley View is just around the corner, February 22nd from 5:30-9PM.  VOLUNTEERS are NEEDED!  Please contact Allison Amador at allison@goodnightaustintexas.com if you can offer any help.

As you may have seen on the news, the flu season is in full swing. Please take the time to read the following to ensure our students are healthy and our school environment is safe.

As a precaution, and as is custom this time of year, our custodians are working hard to disinfect common surface areas such as water fountains, rails, restroom surfaces, doorknobs, etc. and keeping restroom areas stocked with soap and paper towels.

If your child has a fever (100 degrees or higher) or is vomiting in the evening or morning before school, he/she should NOT come to school that day. Students with a fever should remain home fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Please report communicable diseases such as strep and flu to the nurse as we would like to continue to track our illnesses/absences.

Please see the following information on the flu with helpful reminders to share with your student(s): goo.gl/uMKU8u.

Thanks for all you do at home to keep our students as healthy as possible and in school!

Take note of the transition timeline for "rising" 6th graders. There are multiple informative meetings to prepare parents and students for West Ridge MS.

Save the dates for six upcoming events and trainings involving our Special Education department this spring. Mark your calendars now!

Last chance! Registration closes Friday 2/1. Check out our catalog to learn about all the diverse academic and recreational classes we offer. Register at https://eanes.augusoft.net/
