Dear Parents,
As the Eanes Education Foundation comes to a close in their fundraising efforts for the Teacher Fund Campaign, it is important to note the significance of EEF in our district. The following quote from Mr. Lane Grigg, the PreAP Social Studies & Golf Coach at Westlake High School, clearly explains the fundamental importance that EEF provides for the success of our students, school, and district.
"We can't survive without EEF. The academic and extracurricular programs deemed superfluous by the State of Texas are what makes Eanes unique. Those programs are why people move out here. Because of the funding from EEF, our students have the opportunities that most districts only dream about."

The current grade level standings for the 'Duct Tape Mrs. Dusek Challenge' are as follows:
K - 36%
1st - 21%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 26%
4th - 40%
5th - 19%
As a school, Valley View is slowly crawling to the finish line at 24.5% participation. That means that over 75% of parents have NOT YET DONATED!!!
Thank you to those who have already made their contributions. If you have not yet donated, PLEASE DO YOUR PART SO THAT ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL TEACHERS AND STAFF CAN REMAIN AT OUR SCHOOL NEXT YEAR!
The ONLY donation too small is NO gift at all!

DID YOU KNOW...
Veterans Day at Valley View
November 10, 2017
We are eager to recognize and celebrate those who have contributed and sacrificed so much for our country during a special Veterans Day assembly on Friday, November 10, from 7:45-8:45am in the cafeteria.
We encourage you to invite ANY current or retired member of the armed services to attend. In addition, our special military guests are welcome to wear or bring uniforms, medals of honor and military memorabilia.
As we do each year, we are starting from "scratch" as we update our slide show to represent current families. To maintain student engagement and provide a memorable experience during this special assembly, we will be designating only 1 slide per family (maximum of 5 photos per slide).
We welcome photographs of your beloved family members currently serving or retired. Send photos in jpeg/PDF/picture format to Jackie Smart at jseiders1946@gmail.com by Nov. 3.
Photographs received after the deadline will be included if and only if, Jackie, our amazing parent volunteer has extra time to commit to this huge project.
