 Dear Parents,

We hope you will take the time to join us from 7:45-8:45am in the cafeteria tomorrow morning for our annual Veterans Day assembly. It is a special and memorable tradition at Valley View. There will be so much to see, hear and feel.  

The flags will be presented by our students, second grade students will sing, and a slideshow of student and staff family members will move many of us to tears. Most memorable will be the introductions and comments from veterans of all ages and branches of service.

In addition, this year we have unique memorabilia to share. A flag and personal keepsake from WWII will be displayed. The flag represents a time in history prior to the acquisition of Hawaii and Alaska as part of the United States of America. We are eager for students to learn more about the historical significance of this precious artifact.

On behalf of the students and staff at Valley View we give thanks to those who serve, have served and someday will serve to protect and preserve our safety and the precious freedoms we have as citizens of the United States of America.

Hooah, Hooya, Oorah or Hoorah to you all!

Due to the 76% of families who have contributed to this year's Cardinal Fund, the Booster Club can now provide a pie for every staff member and you can sit back and relax in a clean kitchen. In the past, parents have been asked to provide these Thanksgiving pies. Thank you contributors!
